Jason Hartmann Came 4th at 2012 Boston Marathon

Official time was set, and Jason Hartmann is the first American runner to cross the Boston Marathon 2012 finish line. Hartmann is an University of Oregon graduate.

Jason Hartmann crossed the finish line at Copley Square and stopped the clock at 2:14:31

The top runners to win the Boston 2012 Marathon are all Kenyan runners:

1. Wesley Korir KEN 2:12:40
2. Levy Matebo KEN 2:13:06
3. Bernard Kipyego KEN 2:13:13

The Women Winners For Boston 2012 Marathon

1. Sharon Cherop KEN 2:31:50
2. Jemima Jelagat Sumgong KEN 2:31:52
3. Georgina Rono KEN 2:33:09

The first women runner from USA to cross the finish line is Mayumi Fujita who stopped the clock at 2:39:11.

This year the Boston 2012 marathon was rather slow due to the warm weather. The real story is Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya dropping out of the race! Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya last year champion was leading at the 15 mile point.. but had to drop out near the 30 km line.

Another runner who chose not to complete the Boston 2012 race Agnes Kiprop of Kenya! Kiprop is one of the women’s elite runners, dropped out right before Mile 14. The hot weather caused hundreds of runners to drop out of the race as the temperatures at Boston Marathon soared into the 80′s.
